Monica requested a “big birdhouse” for Christmas 2020. Since I was already in a hexagon mood, this seemed like the way to go:
It’s not quite finished… the post will be painted green and I have some trim to apply around the top. Plus an internal web-cam to install 🙂
The hexagonal pyramid roof is something I’m very proud of (oh, the math for those compound miter cuts!) I had to make two, because the first one didn’t have enough overhang for my aesthetics. I decided last-minute to make the 2nd (smaller) birdhouse and use the “extra” roof for that one.
